She claimed she'd known me for centuries
And called me by some ancient name...
Somehow I recognized it...
Our meeting seemed not willed by the masters of the dream
For I felt a sword-tip thrust to my chest
The pain was nearly unbearable...
'Do you remember how long I have loved you?'
She said...
I couldn't answer...
'Then please can't you let me go...'
Then she paused, tone changed;
'No, please wait... please don't let me go...'
The thought of someone loving me like that,
Was disturbing...
Not entirely unwelcome,
Intriguing...
I cannot love myself,
How can I be loved by another?
Even one from the strangeness of
The dreamworld...
Perhaps just a manifestation
Of my loneliness
A will to let it go;
That exists somewhere
Deep within
